Prioritizing Diversity for Global Impact

Around the world, racial inequality impacts health, education, and economic resources; In the United States, the average Black and Hispanic or LatinX households earn about half as much as the average white household, the Federal Reserve noted in 2021, and those households own only about 15 to 20 percent as much net wealth.

That’s why pioneering eCommerce startup Empower Global (founded by music legend and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs) first aspired to create an immersive digital marketplace for consumers to discover, shop, and buy Black-owned brands.

 
 

With an impressive catalog of 2500+ products from over 120 brands, Empower Global today has a significant impact in the fashion, apparel, and beauty worlds. To get there, however, it sought a powerful platform and partner, able to:

  • enable omnichannel eCommerce and marketing to enhance customer engagement and drive sales,

  • allow for a headless architecture to provide strong scalability, flexibility, and security on the direct-to-consumer site, ensuring a seamless and secure shopping experience,

  • and seamlessly integrate with third-party systems and enable the fast and secure onboarding of suppliers and products to efficiently expand its catalog and meet customer demand.

“Empower Global was already sold on the value of Salesforce solutions,” says Vincente Pass, Vice President of Growth & Partnership for partner TechSparq.

TechSparq, however, was able to quickly deliver a robust multi-cloud implementation — one encompassing commerce, marketing, loyalty, and service functionalities.
